The octagonal Chapter House is a masterpiece of mediaeval architecture - it was completed in 1306. It is famous for the steps leading up to it ST5545 : Wells: steps to the chapter house and its fan-vaulted roof. This view shows the parts visitors do not usually see, taken on a High Places Tour of the cathedral.
