This now-redundant church is a familiar sight to anyone who uses the East Coast Main Line out of London, flashing past as the Fens begin to open up to the right of the train. The overhead catenary can just be seen beyond the church. At the time of visiting, the area around the base of the tower was cordoned off in case of falling stone, and inside wooden supports were in place around many of the arches.
