TR1557 : Canterbury Cathedral Close with Lodge

Canterbury Cathedral Close with Lodge
Canterbury Cathedral Close with Lodge
The modern building in the background with a high pitched roof is Canterbury Cathedral Lodge, now a hotel and conference venue, built as an International Study Centre. It was designed by William Whitfield and partners - difficult to put a modern building into this sensitive World Heritage site. On the left of the photo is the West front of the cathedral. The low buildings on the right include the welcome centre for the cathedral.
