Low bridge, Crayford
Low bridge, Crayford
This arch bridge carries a railway over a road in Crayford, on the outskirts of Greater London. The road surface has obviously been lowered at some point, to enable bigger vehicles to pass under the bridge. Nevertheless the bridge still has a height restriction as shown by the yellow and black markings and the warning sign.

The path to the right is shared by pedestrians and cyclists. It forms part of both the Thames Cycle Route and National Cycle Network route 1, which stretches from Dover to the Shetland Islands. It is also on the route of the London LOOP (London Outer Orbital Path).
Thames Cycle Route
The Thames Cycle Route is part of the National Cycle Network. The Cycle Route stretches from Dartford up to Oxford along the banks of the River Thames.

This follows the majority of the Thames Path, but does divert in various sections. Especially where the Path follows a footpath only route. It also links National Cycle Route 1 (east of London) with National Cycle Route 4 (west of London).

National Cycle Network Route 1
National Route 1 of the National Cycle Network is a long distance cycle route connecting Dover and the Shetland Islands mainly via the east coast of England and Scotland. The route is all signed and open except between London and Woodbridge (in Suffolk) and between Whitby and Staithes (in Yorkshire).
London Outer Orbital Path (LOOP)
Starting at the Thames at Erith and finishing on the opposite north bank at Coldharbour, the Loop (London Outer Orbital Path) is 150 miles long, passing through numerous woods, commons and parks and on waterside paths alongside the Grand Union Canal and London rivers such as the Colne, Crane, Cray, Darent and Ingrebourne.
