The roundabout was built in 1998 at the junction of the A832 Kinlochewe to Garve road and the A890 to Strathcarran. The street lights are the only ones for miles. The lack of traffic is typical. The tiny village of Achnasheen lies scattered around the junction. Beyond, the extent of the eastern outwash terrace is apparent. (See NH1658 : Achnasheen terraces).
