Stawne, Weobley
Stawne, Weobley
Located on the north side of a bend in the B4230 Meadow Street. A nearby Weobley Heritage Trail information board states that Stawne is the remaining solar wing of a 15th century house, the hall of which stood on the right side. The chimney was added about a century later. The weight of the chimney may account for the slightly alarming list. In its era, houses were sometimes painted pink, which was achieved by adding blood to the limewash.
