Windswept tree at Jenny Brown's Point, Silverdale
A haggard-looking hawthorn has managed to survive, growing in the shingle and scattered stone blocks of the old jetty. Across the exposed mud and sand of the bay are the Bowland moors.
There is some disagreement as to whether this SD4673 : Chimney near Browns Houses is a lime kiln or a copper smelting works. Has anybody got personal knowledge of the place?
