Geese settling down near Purley-on-Thames, Berkshire
September evening, and the local population of several hundred geese are settling down for the night on water meadows south of the river Thames. To the right someone is passing through a gate on the tow-path.
The full picture has many more geese and sunlit trees to the left, and a thin streak of river and a maroon barge lit by the evening sun to the right. But with the full picture, too much detail would be lost at geograph image size, so sadly this is just a central crop!
