This view shows Salford Bridge, taken from the Salford Aqueduct. There has been a bridge on the site, where Lichfield Road crosses the River Tame, since 1536 and in 1810 the footbridge was converted to a road bridge. Salford Aqueduct was built in the 1780s to carry the Birmingham and Fazeley Canal over the River Tame - the structure was listed Grade II on 8th July 1982. Time taken 9.42 am GMT (Greenwich Mean Time).
