The Cathedral Lodge, Carlisle
The Cathedral Lodge, Carlisle
Built in 1890, the Lodge for many years was used as residential accommodation for a verger. In 1996 it was taken over as a religious bookshop, before being converted into a youth centre in 2008. Subsequently its use was extended to be a visitor centre for the Cathedral. The east end of the Cathedral can be seen to the right.
