Stone cottages at Ruffside
Stone cottages at Ruffside
Ruffside is a very attractive hamlet of 19th century stone built houses, built for the nearby Ruffside Hall estate. It lies about 4 kilometres east of Blanchland on the road to Edmundbyers. It has obviously been extensively modernised in recent years and many of the cottages are used as holiday lets.
