The Rushall Canal was constructed in 1847 to provide a link between the Daw End Branch and the Tame Valley Canal, giving a route for coal transport from the collieries at Cannock. Yellow sign reads 'Anglers Beware Overhead electrical power lines'. Red circle sign reads 'No fishing'. Sign above on brickwork reads 'WINTERLEY BRIDGE'.
