Statue of John Cabot (Venetian: Zuan Chabotto; c. 1450 c. 1499) on the quayside in Bristol. Cabot was an Italian navigator and explorer who in 1497 discovered parts of North America under the commission of King Henry VII. The sculpture was erected in 1986 and was the work of sculptor, Stephen Joyce; it was produced by the Morris Singer Foundry at Basingstoke.
