Grand Union Canal: Site of Bridge Number 113
Grand Union Canal: Site of Bridge Number 113
This narrowing of the canal shows where the former Bridge Number 113 was. It was built as a farmers' accommodation bridge to provide access from the west to the fields between the canal and the River Ouzel to the east. It is present on the Ordnance Survey map of 1901, but gone by the time that the 1925 Edition was published, and the country estate of The Martins had replaced the farmland to the west of the canal.
