Queens Road Tram Stop Under Construction
Queens Road Tram Stop Under Construction
Since the Metrolink originally opened in 1992, trams have stopped here as a staff-only halt SD8500 : Metrolink, Queens Road Staff Halt serving the Metrolink system's Queens Road depot at Metrolink House.

In September 2013, LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) work began to convert it into a full tram stop. Queen’s Road stop will replace the staff halt; having steps and a lift from the road to both inbound and outbound platforms. At the Manchester (south) end there will be ramps to a foot track level crossing.

When the new station is complete it will replace Woodlands Road Metrolink station as the station closest to Manchester on the Bury line.
