Steam 150: '1863 and All That'
Steam 150: '1863 and All That'
'Prince' at Beddgelert, on the Welsh Highland Railway, with the first of three special trains from Porthmadog; celebrating 150 years of steam on the Ffestiniog Railway. 'Prince' dates from 1863, and is one of the original George England engines built for the FR. A 'period' setting, with Victorian passengers at a location which had not yet been built! The WHR first opened in 1923. Shame about the modern yellow line on the platform.
