Whitlingham Country Park is 35 hectares in size and is managed in a partnership between Whitlingham Charitable Trust and the Broads Authority. The centrepiece of the park is Whitlingham Great Broad and Whitlingham Little Broad, both are disused gravel pits. Whitlingham Outdoor Education Centre is located on the Great Broad. There is an old Barn that has been converted into a visitors centre

Wherryman's Way is a long distance footpath in Norfolk. It is 35 miles in length, running between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. It follows the course of the River Yare where possible, passing through or near to Loddon and Reedham before crossing the marshes close to the Berney Arms and skirting the northern edge of Breydon Water where it follows the route of the Weavers' Way. The trail makes use of the Reedham Ferry to cross the River Yare. The route of the trail follows that used by trading wherries travelling inland to Norwich.
