The Lizard: view across the lighthouse roof
Looking over
SW7011 : The Lizard: the lighthouse from alongside the light, in the east tower. The west tower, whose light was dismantled in the early 20th century (before which the lighthouse operated the two lights side-by-side) is in the background.
The chimneys are painted black because the building is also used as a day mark, and from the sea they do not show up along with the white bulk of the building.
