The left hand building is the former brewery which in the 1920s supplied a chain of 10 public houses in the Tyne valley. The Grade II listed building LinkExternal link was converted into two houses in 1993 by the Hexham architect, Michael Drage, who retained many of the original features including external openings and stone floors.
