Coming Off The Yard
Coming Off The Yard
Class 50, 50042 'Triumph', comes off Acton yard after delivering a train of hopper wagons. The yard has been extensively remodelled since this photo was taken. The goods shed on the right is no longer served by rail but remains in use as a Network Rail stores building. The semaphore signals have also gone. 50042 was withdrawn in October 1990 but survived into preservation and is currently (2013) based on the Bodmin & Wenford Railway.
