Looking across the River Nith at the Caul towards White Sands in the next square. The Nith is tidal as far as the Caul, producing a well-known high flood risk for the area near the river, especially when heavy rain combines with a high tide and a southerly wind. Viewed just ahead of a blustery late-October shower.
