Holywood Rugby Club (possible redevelopment)

In August 2013 a Belfast newspaper reported that Holywood Rugby Club’s LinkExternal link ground (Kerr Park, between High Street and the bypass) might become the site for the first Waitrose supermarket in NI. The story originated back in March 2011 when North Down Borough Council, the owner, had been reported as intending to dispose of the site to fund improvements to the nearby Spafield Link. So far (October 2013) there has not been any official confirmation or denial.
