NN6107 : Bochastle Roman Fort: western side shows the same area, viewed in the opposite direction. The present picture is a view back towards the cycle route, which is at the far side of the field.

This is a view directly along the western wall of the fort. There is a gap here (for a western gate); on either side of the gap, the wall curves in towards the interior of the fort (the interior is on the left in this picture). It appears that there was an internal road connecting this gate to the eastern gate, where the wall curves inwards in the same manner.
