Grand Union Canal: Bridge Number 138
Grand Union Canal: Bridge Number 138
Bridge Number 138 carries Dudswell Lane / Norcott Hill over the canal. It is also a turnover bridge that enables the towpath to switch sides, as can be seen from the angled wing wall to the left. Along with the lock behind it, which is Lock Number 49 and Dudswell Bottom Lock, it forms a Grade II Listed Structure, being largely unaltered since it was built in the 1790s.
