Laid stone path of the Esk Valley Walk
Laid stone path of the Esk Valley Walk
The Esk Valley Walk follows paths mainly on the north side of Esk Dale in the North Yorks Moors National Park. The route in part, particularly west of Briggswath and Sleights, follows the way of a stone laid path that must be very old. In places the stones have been largely concealed by encroaching turf but here, approaching and passing through the gate, they're clearly exposed.
