Mural, Holloway Street, Exeter
A further view of the mural (dating from the 1970s) in Holloway Street, which includes a visual reference to the city gate close by. Compared with SX9292 : Festival of Architecture, Exeter, the road sign on the right shows the way to both Princesshay and John Lewis car parks, and not King William Street. Princesshay is a new car park, and King William Street car park was renamed after the department store.
SX9292 : Exeter Cathedral. This fine photo also shows to advantage some of the nave's Gothic vaulting, at 300' being the longest unbroken stretch in the world.
