Upper Glen Roy
Upper Glen Roy
Looking down the section of the Upper River Roy which leads to the hardest rapid on this section - Rooster Tail, which is situated just where the river disappears from view as it jogs left. There are lots of other rapids on this section, mostly shingle riffles or small bedrock drops, but all are straightforward and with good visibility, but it's often a good idea to reconnoitre Rooster Tail during the journey up, as the line is not quite so clear from the water as you approach.
