Gauxholme Lowest Lock No 22 and railway bridge, Rochdale Canal
Gauxholme Lowest Lock No 22 and railway bridge, Rochdale Canal
This shows the canal many years before the recent restoration, with the derelict lock (No 22, the lowest one of the three Gauxholme locks) and the splendid castellated railway overbridge carrying the Lancashire & Yorkshire line. Through the bridge, Shade Lock No 21 is just visible.
