Ayr Pavilion
Ayr Pavilion
Ayr Pavilion was opened in 1911 as a theatre and dance hall, later accommodating concerts. In the 1990s, when it was known as Hangar 13, young people flocked to the raves that were fashionable at the time. After three drug-related deaths in 1994, the facility lost its late licence to operate although the management were found blameless for the incidents. The building now houses a children's adventure play area with outlets for fast food and ice cream. Viewed from the adventure play park on the seaward side of the building.
