NM4099 : Drochaid Sheorais, by Kinloch Castle

Drochaid Sheorais, by Kinloch Castle
A plaque on the bridge says this is "Drochaid Sheorais" (Gaelic for "George's Bridge"), erected in 2001 to replace the original bridge from 1900-1901. Presumably the name refers to George Bullough, who owned the island and built Kinloch Castle.

This area beside the burn was once a Japanese-style garden, with a variety of exotic plants. Still plenty of rhododendron growing around here.
