Moycullen - Connemara Marble Factory - Marble Samples
Connemara Marble is typically olive green, and sometimes includes some black. The large vertical rectangular piece resting on a shelf and leaning against a wall, is sliced so thin that it becomes transparent when a bright light is illuminated behind the sample. This marble is quarried in Recess. The large black sample with the white circular markings is quarried in the Galway area along the Atlantic Ocean and includes shell fossels.
