Junction of Belle Vue Street and South Crescent Road, Filey
Belle Vue Street is part of the development of New Filey from about 1845 and is now one of the commercial and shopping streets of Filey. New Filey was laid out on a gridiron plan and South Crescent Road runs off at right angles consistent with that plan form. The building on the corner which is now the Bronte Café was a substantial house of about 1845 and carries a plaque to Charlotte Bronte who stayed here on several occasions.
