Burnham Norton sea wall breached
Burnham Norton sea wall breached
The storm surge of the 5th December overtopped this and several other sea walls along the Norfolk coast. The water flowing down the inland side of the bank eroded it back until it completely collapsed. The land to the right should be arable and fresh marsh. The further of the two holes is being enlarged to help let water off.
