Flooded River Medway at Teston Bridge on Christmas Day
The River Medway has burst its banks and so the river which is normally about 50 feet wide at the medieval Teston Bridge, seen in the distance beyond the road signs, is now more like a quarter of a mile wide. A car has been swept downriver and can be seen almost submerged half way across - see
Link The usual width of the river at Teston Bridge can be seen at
Link Needless to say the road had been closed.
