Railway trackbed in Sansom Wood
Seen from SK5852 : Railway bridge in Sansom Wood, this is the trackbed of the branch line to Calverton Colliery. The line was opened in the 1950s along with the pit, and then was used for testing track maintenance vehicles for a while after the pit closed before being lifted.
