The Old Hebrew Congregation cemetery opened 1935 as an extension to the Delhi Street cemetery. At the entrance is a brick-built taharah house (a place where the body is purified and prepared for burial) which replaced an earlier one. Illustrated is the foundation stone, dated 3 June 1973.
Marfleet Village Conservation Area, Kingston upon Hull
Marfleet, once an independent parish and village within the East Riding of Yorkshire,
is now predominantly an industrial area of Kingston upon Hull. Despite absorption into the city, Marfleet retains a surprisingly rural character around the parish church of St. Giles.
