December 2013 was a very wet month, and the latest downpour had been on 23 December, three days earlier, leading to widespread flooding including here in the village centre. The depth indicator showed 3 feet in the middle of the ford. A more usual depth is 1 foot TQ5365 : Ford, Eynsford.
