Cycleway’s flooded, so paddle home from school, Myton Fields, Warwick
The River Avon has risen enough to inundate the fishing lake, Kingfisher Pool, and the cycleway that skirts it. Most schoolchildren have taken the long way round via Castle Bridge and Banbury Road but these have chosen to wade through the floodwater. Judging by the dumped bikes it's more about fun than speed. It's happened before Link and it will happen again.
