I'm gasping for a drink!
A passing dog found this trough rather interesting although it has no water in it these days. This is the Ladymead fountain and horse trough in Walcot Street. It was commissioned by Lady Elizabeth Landon and designed by the city architect C.E. Davis in 1860. It actually was intended to provide for farmers and their livestock as they went to the nearby cattle market; however, it was also a provenance to persuade them to avoid the sins of alcohol - it was a time of Temperance after all.
