A green plaque (one of many!) set up by Kendal Civic Society. This one is at the SD5192 : Entry to Grosvenor Court, Stramongate and names John Dalton 'the father of modern chemistry' who taught here and Sir Arthur Eddington 'pioneer of stellar structure' who was born here when his father was Headmaster.
