Puzzling. If the intention is to replicate the traditional pollarded willows of Midlands' riverbanks, weeping willow is the wrong species to do it with. One old pollarded white willow remains here; the rest have been grubbed out. If the intention is to adorn the bank with weeping willows the best thing would be to leave them alone. The River Avon in the foreground is seen from the riverside walk behind Mercia Way.
