The water level is particularly high this winter, flooding areas of rough grazing at the foot of Wee Hill. Looking over the Moor of Drumwalt, the trees on the extreme right hand horizon are Challochglass Plantation. To their immediate left is the low green drumlin of Barn Hill sitting at the northeastern end of Castle Loch.
