Llanrhidian Church
Llanrhidian Church
Wedi ei chysegru i Sant Illtyd a Sant Rhydian bu Llanrhydian yn fan addoli ymhell cyn dyfod y Normaniaid. Daethpwyd o hyd i gofeb Gristnogol yn y fynwent sy'n dyddio o'r nawfed neu'r degfed ganrif. Dyddia rhannau cynharaf yr eglwys bresennol i oddeutu'r 13g-14g. Mae'r twr yn dyddio o'r 15g ond ailgodwyd corff yr egwlys ynghyd a'r porth deheuol oddeutu 1856.

Dedicated to St Illtyd and St Rhydian a place of worship has existed on this site since pre Norman times and this is attested by the uncovering of a ninth or tenth century Christian memorial stone within the churchyard. The earliest parts of the present church date from the thirteenth or fourteenth century. The tower is 15th century but the nave and south porch were rebuilt c1856.
