NZ1048 : The farmhouse at High Knitsley

The farmhouse at High Knitsley
The farmhouse at High Knitsley
This farmhouse is early 18th century, one of the oldest in the area. Originally, it was built in a traditional northern style, only one room deep - single pile. Later in the same century, it was converted into double pile by building an extension on the other side. I always think this is one of the nicest looking farmhouses in the Consett area.
