This was owned by William Edleston Ltd, Sowerby Bridge, woollen manufacturers. William Edleston, the second son of Robert Edleston, established the Firm in 1848. They were pioneers in the blanket and South American long wool trade, and also specialised in pure camel hair and alpaca clothes. (Extract from the National Archives) The buildings are now occupied by various businesses.
