The tower has the lead spike so characteristic of South Cambridgeshire. "The large Perp S chapel is the most prominent feature of the church," wrote Norman Scarfe in the Shell Guide. "Tomb and effigy of John de Freville, 1312." In the wet winter of 2014 this was a blissfully sunny Sunday morning.
