Church of St Mary from old Thame Road
This view of the fine church of St Mary in Thame would have greeted visitors to the town arriving from the Long Crendon direction until the ring road was built and the old Thame Road was closed to vehicles. St Mary's is EH Grade I listed LinkExternal link (Archive LinkExternal link ) dating from the C13th with some additions from the following and later centuries. Cf SP7006 : Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Thame across fields for a very different view of this church taken 8 years earlier.
