Whipsnade White Lion taken from Gallows Hill
Whipsnade White Lion taken from Gallows Hill
A clear view of the White Lion cut into the chalk of Dunstable Downs advertising Whipsnade Zoo. It looks as though it's due a bit of re-whitening.
The photo was taken from Gallows Hill at the end of the ridge running westwards from Ivinghoe Beacon. The distance to the lion being about 3km (1.8 miles)
The houses in the mid distance are on the A4146
