Grade II* listed

St Mary's, Gunthorpe, is constructed of flint with brick dressings and a variegated green and blue slate roof. The church has a Perpendicular west tower, nave and north transept. The chancel and south porch were restored 1863-64 presumably by Frederick Preedy who also designed the stained glass windows. There is an Annunciation group in the niche on the south porch. The font is 15th century. The east window, 1863, is by William Warrington (commemorated to Henry Sparks, killed at Balaclava in October 1854 and son of the then Canon Sparks) and four chancel windows, one nave and one tower west window are designed by Preedy.
