SK1691 : Former beer cellar

taken 5 years ago, near to Derwent Reservoir [water Feature], Derbyshire, Great Britain

Former beer cellar
Former beer cellar
This was the cellar of the Derwent Canteen, which was used by the residents of Birchinlee - the 'tin town' built to house the workers on the Derwent Dams in the early 20C. Little now remains of the village which once had over 900 residents. LinkExternal link
